Live Your Life With YOUR Own Rules

You’re now listening to Hack and Grow Rich with Shaahin Cheyene and his co-host Bart Baggett. We just don’t give about what other people think. Yeah, sure. We’re polite. We’re empathetic. We’re kind people but at the end of the day when it comes to our lifestyle and the way that we live, we don’t live our lives for what other people will think of us. And I think that’s super interesting. I know you, you certainly don’t live that way and you know, for any of you guys who know me or any of the stuff that I’ve done, I certainly don’t live that way and it’s even more ironic the ironic thing about that is that I’m married to a publicist whose entire job is to worry about what people think.

Respond “Less” To Negativity Or Naysayers

You’re now listening to Hack and Grow Rich with Shaahin Cheyene and his co-host Bart Baggett. Well, I started studying this when I was like 15 years old through cognitive psychology. And of course, the handwriting analysis, which I’m famous for and one of the first things that I learned was that being sensitive to criticism, caring too much, what people thought was a flaw and it was a physical pain in your chest of like someone not approving of you. And I had that as a kid. I remember having the members-only jacket and I’m dating myself. But like I cared, whether I had a certain jacket. And when I made these changes to my brain, I just didn’t give anymore. And I think I probably overcompensated by not giving a. Quote-Unquote like all the best-selling books, these days and I kind of became an a-hole but I was an aggressive successful, and I got what I wanted a lot.

And so, now I’m back with a little more empathy, a little bit maturity, a little bit more, you know, kind of mindfulness than I probably did at 23. but I’m still a big fan of finding these fears that are controlling you of this reactive sort of mind and unprogrammed it. And so I noticed we talked about all these best-selling books with the word F in it and that’s just of course to get attention, but they’re all essentially, some form of cognitive psychology. Some point of NLP or Henry analysis or something, where people are trying to reprogram the brain to not care so much about validation, and in today’s world with Instagram and all the social media and all the endorphins, a lot of people care too much. And I think that stops you as an entrepreneur and I know the next, I know our next guest is someone who didn’t get stopped at all and he’s still making waves and I can’t wait to meet him.

Problem Situations Can Lead To Positive Outcomes!

You’re now listening to Hack and Grow Rich with Shahin Cheyene and his co-host Bart Baggett. Is it true that you cut the cards in your living room for the first thousand games? Is that a true story? Yes close. So we did a thousand games was our test market and we had some assembled them by hand. Well, the one problem we had was just before our launch, the printer screwed up and sent us the wrong cards. And they were 500 cards per game at a thousand games. With 500000 cards when they were supposed to come sorted game a game of 500 cards, they came completely wrong. So we had to hand sort…. you’re laughing man. It was like oh! I thought it was I have admitted. It’s the only tantrum I ever threw. I mean, the printer calls me up. Can’t get it done. I launched the phone but we had to figure it out and it would be like and the math is 9580 playing card decks of playing cards.

Your stupid brother puts them in the middle of the room, mixes them up, and walks away. Now, you got to get all those freaking cards back in those boxes. That was our job in six days, went to Nordstrom. It became our first big sale. 170 shoe boxes. Put the tape, put tables in my apartment, got all the furniture out, and we hand-sorted 16 hours a day for six days, but we got it done right. It was like the worst moment in our life, but it was the best moment because we bonded, we got it done. We could overcome any obstacle. So it turned out maybe the best thing that happened to us.

Weekly Game-Night Tradition Turns Into A Bestselling Board Game

You’re now listening to Hack and Grow Rich with Shaahin Cheyene and his co-host Bart Baggett. Yeah, I tried other jobs selling, buying a pizza franchise, selling real estate, and selling vacuums door-to-door. So I was doing all that, but I hadn’t started a product and built a business and so this was eventually, when I started, it was the first shot but I kind of knew deep down. It was the right shot to take. But yeah, so but so I’m thinking of the idea or excuse me I graduate from college and move in with some buddies and it’s 1982. I’m 22 years old and we start sketching words out of the dictionary. That was it. I mean there was no grand plan. There was no game. We’re just having fun. Well, we get home late. Now there are three guys, six guys were just playing this silly game. We were having a ball every night. And so the entrepreneurial spirit started kicking in. I’m going you know this is going to be a good board game because in 82 there were no video games. Everybody played board games. So that was the vernacular of the day. And then, of course, I procrastinated for three years. Are you ready to go, man? I’m good. I’m an entrepreneur. I’m gonna be, you know, I went to Europe. I kept waiting tables. I wasn’t ready and I just couldn’t get out of my way.

A couple of years later, the idea would not leave my head though. It wasn’t like I forgot about it and it was driving me nuts. So I had to get started. I had to just so I could chill and I couldn’t figure out how to put the words into the game, right? There’s a selling point there. The words were the thing that people were going to pay for nobody, you know, wants to get addiction. People are lazy for goodness sake. I say that out loud. Yeah, people are lazy consumers. I was going to give them something they could use and that was the words. Couldn’t figure it out. But then serendipity entered in. My mom sends me children pursuit and I look at this freaking Trivial Pursuit card. I go holy. That’s it. I put the words on cards. The next day I got out of my way, backyard, dictionary, the pad of paper, and a pen and I started making the word list. I said, keep in mind. Though I still did not have a plan for a business. I didn’t have partners. I had no money. I didn’t know what the frick the game was going to look like. I just knew I needed a word list. What year was this? Oh god, it was 84. Way before inner

Horses For Courses Leads To Product Success

You’re now listening to Hack & Grow Rich with Shaahin Cheyene and his co-host Bart Baggett. Yeah, one of the interesting things that I think most people don’t understand is that you don’t have to be a graphic designer to have great art. Similarly, with technology, you just need to be able to hire specialized knowledge. There are lots of people smarter than me who know how to do engineering, who know how to build the parts of the device, and one of the things now I’m looking at this, which is super interesting, which I don’t know if they’re doing now is that I made sure that none of the parts of this device that we built came in touch with the plastic components of it because I didn’t believe in heating the plastic. So if you look inside the device this is all-ceramic. So we built ceramic. There’s glass, there’s steel inside here. I’m going through this, so I’m looking at this. I’m like dude, I did a great job building this thing. It was a nice device to build but you can hire people, so anytime you want to build anything there are people out there nerds who live on that technology kind of thing and they’d love to do that without burning yet.

Could we just forego all the carcinogenic elements and have a cleaner way to ingest what we want? And the answer was nobody knew it didn’t exist. And I went about checking out what technology was out there and what was available and I came across the thought of vaporization. Now people had been building crude vaporizers for a while. And I say crude, because these vaporizers at some point burned your material, but they didn’t burn it as much as exposing it to an open flame. So from my research, it turns out that burning something, you heat it to 1200 degrees, you cause it to combust, you create smoke tar, carbon monoxide all this other stuff and you’re ingesting the smoke with some of the oils and the terpenes and the alkaloids, and all the stuff that you want very inefficient turns out that if you heat, that same plant matter to a much lower temperature, 300 degrees, 200 degrees, 400 degrees after that, it starts to burn, but if you heat it to that temperature, it’ll release the volatile oils. It’ll release the cannabinoids, the THC, the nicotine, but what you don’t get is all the stuff that comes with the smoke, because you’re not burning it. Now the challenge, the problem is how do you control the temperature. Because temperature, as we know, once given energy, continues to rise and even when you turn it off it doesn’t cool down immediately. Just like if you turn the heat off under your boiling water the water boils for a few seconds longer and that extra few seconds or minutes that the heat is still there, the heat is still boiling. Can cause your material to burn, causing smoke tar and carbon monoxide, which you’re back to where you started. So I went about developing that technology in the core of our patents that I developed.

Sound (Sonic) Technology: Future Of Vaping

You’re now listening to Hack & Grow Rich with Shaahin Cheyene and his co-host Bart Baggett. Where do you see vaping moving in the future? Do you think that inhalation is going to be a means of delivery for other things like medications, I’ve seen one vape that was caffeine, right? Yeah, I spent a lot of time building this technology for pharma companies as well. All the big pharma companies, all the big tobacco companies were very interested and I’ve built several iterations of vaporizers using sound sonic technology.

There’s a way to do it, where you can use sound instead of heat nebulizers, very common form of vaporization uses ultrasound to volatilize plant matter. If you see nebulizers that people that are asthmatics or that have lung conditions use ultrasound. It’s got a small ultrasonic transducer. So we built an ultrasonic transducer that could volatilize things like CBD or cannabis and nicotine. It seems to me that when you and again I’m not talking from any scientific understanding but it seems to me that when you use a liquid just for the convenience sake that liquid is also getting into your lungs. The beauty of using whole plant vaporizers is the fact that you are only taking elements directly from the plant. There’s nothing added to the plant. So what you’re getting are just those elements. Sure, you are getting oil, a terpene, a cannabinoid, THC, whatever it is that settles on the lungs and goes through the lungs. The lungs are intended only for taking pure clean air if you can get it. But I think it’s one step removed to say okay, we’re just going to heat it to get what we need. I think that’s fairly benign in my opinion assuming the devices are built well enough.

When you move into using these liquids that who knows what’s in them. And some companies might have more reliable ones than others but when you move into the liquids and you move into the crystals and you move into the heavily processed materials for the convenience of being able to carry them in a small portable battery-operated device, then you approach that problem. And now you know there are a lot of companies that are making smaller vaporizers. But I always espouse if not smoking anything but if you’re going to do it you should vaporize and if you’re going to vaporize you should use a whole plant vaporizer as opposed to an e-cig or an e-vape for health reasons if you can. That makes sense that makes sense.

Question. Vapor was the first company that you took IPO. So my question for you is how long after your patent did you go IPO and if it and this was the first vape company to go IPO, correct? I think it was one of the first and I didn’t take it IPO. I sold the company to a guy that took it public and I was not involved in that process with Vape here. I exited me and the investors the early-stage investors we all exited.

An Ideal Herbal Vaporizer

You’re now listening to Hack & Grow Rich with Shaahin Cheyene and his co-host Bart Baggett. Ultimately I think you know, the beautiful thing that the beauty is when somebody can develop a small enough device that’s a true vaporizer, a true digital vaporizer where you don’t have to buy the liquids and you can just use plant, real green herb or real tobacco and that’s when something nice is going to happen. I’ve seen devices that are the size of like a small cigarette pack that does that but, I’m yet to see what we were in the end phases of building, which is something that’s the size of like an actual cigarette where you could put a small amount of plant matter and that’s another great advantage of vaporization over smoking. When you smoke you burn it and you’re done with vaporization that same tiny amount of plant matter can last you weeks and weeks and weeks so it’s much more efficient on your materials as well it feels cleaner.

First Of Its Kind Vaporizer That Disrupted The Market

You’re now listening to Hack & Grow Rich with Shaahin Cheyene and his co-host Bart Baggett. And the first portable digital vaporizer. What year are we talking about? This one was probably late 90s early 2000, I think maybe 2000. I came out with this maybe somewhere around there and you’ll notice that our patent is this drawer that pulls out and you would put your herbs in a disc. The disc goes in there, that was another one of my patents was herbs on disk and then you put it in here. And I mean this one, yeah, clearly it doesn’t work. This is, you know, 20 years old or something but yeah, and then there’s a digital readout. The first of its kind and you would inhale through here or through a tube that you put in there and then I remember, yeah, I mean we used all kinds of fancy things like LEDs were not a thing. We used them. There are cobwebs in here. How funny. When I was very big on building this and this feels like, it feels like a nice device. But the point is that we had two parts to our patents, one was being able to remove the plant matter from the heat source to prevent it from getting burned manually and the second was a digital temperature readout that allowed us to control the temperature with a thermoregulator so that the plants it was all around. You don’t want to burn these plants. So you want to do it at a low temperature.

What now is vapes is they came out with an idea which was my idea back in the day was hey, you can take a source material like glycerin that vaporizes very quickly. Add some of your oils to that. You’d have to get an extract in oils and then you could vaporize whatever you want CBD, whatever. Why? Because this device vaporizes the entire plant. It does not separate the plant from its elements. You don’t need oils. It will vaporize oils but it’s primarily designed to vaporize plant material. To do that, you need a fairly large battery. I don’t know if this one has a battery or not. Oh yeah, it does man. Oh wow, stuff’s falling apart but so this has a fairly large battery. This is like 20 years old. So I’m not going to take it apart right now but it has a fairly large battery and you need that because you need to be able to find a way to get the heat produced. Heat is a very expensive way to get energy. So heat is is a very inefficient user of energy. So that’s why it was this big but with a small cigarette, which is what they use now, you can use a little button battery if it’s liquid. Liquid volatilizes very quickly much more so than solids. So that’s the reason why you know we developed this, we designed it. We made it so big and we were selling them all day long.

This was a 4.99 device. It was almost 500 400 500 and something like this cost us about 40 bucks to make and so once again we were printing money when we were making these things. Pretty cool. By the way, I no longer am affiliated with this company or associated with it. So it’s a public company and I don’t think they make this device anymore but I can talk about it here which, I think still is one of the best vaporizers that was ever made.

The Power Of Group Skills And Organization

You’re now listening to Hack & Grow Rich with Shaahin Cheyene and his co-host Bart Baggett. Yeah, yeah and sometimes you’ve got to take people’s energy and use it as fuel for your fire. And that’s worked well for me. I think I see people in mixed martial arts doing that. Yes. Where they use the energy of their opponents to their advantage and business is much the same I think as martial arts where you can take that negativity, that distortion that people throw at you and utilize that as fuel.

Listen To Your Heart, Learn With Your Head

So I’ll tell you one of the first things that I did. So once I made the pills and we got it into the hands of a few of these dealers. I decided that I was going to become a multi-million dollar company. I never thought we would break a billion dollars, but I thought hey, you know what, we’re going to become huge and I thought one of the ways to do that was to license a picture of a famous person. So I walked in, I made a phone call. They said, what’s the name of your company? I said, I just made it up on the spot. I said Global something or other and loved it. I got an appointment and I walked into this big Beverly Hills office. And it was a fancy office in those days and beginning of the 90s and it was, you know, the attorney that was representing this state of so-and-so. And the receptionist was this cute little Japanese girl in her cute little outfit. She brought me this little espresso with a little twist of something. Never had those before and put them on and I was like, this is amazing. And then the guy makes me wait about an hour right he calls me in and he’s you know, the old school like, you know the agent guy. Yeah. Tell him it’s what I could do for less than entire thousands.

You know, hanging up his phone. He’s got all the papers around his desk, you know, total from day one like that guy in. What is its entourage? I have to get with, oh yeah, okay agent guy right? So he’s like that so he looks at me and he goes. All right, where’s your dad? And I said, excuse me. He said, yeah, where’s your dad? He’s like, I don’t have a lot of time kid. It’s like, you know, you’re old enough to drink that coffee. I was like, yeah. Well, here’s what I want to do. You know I want to do a supplement. I’ve already had a little bit of success and I’m looking to license, you know this guy as an image, and you know I’m going to sell a million of these things. So you guys are going to make a lot of money. Just give me the license. And he goes, holds on a second.

Look kid, you got to go back to school and then he just spent the next seven minutes that he could afford to spare for me to tear me down. Go back to school, go back home. This is crazy. You don’t have a company. You don’t even have a product. You know this is going to fail. Nobody does this. The way this works is you got to go to school. You got a business degree. Then you got to get your Master’s, then you got to go work for a big consulting company. Then after you do that, you know my brain was spinning and then I was depressed and I walked out of there. And I walked you know, I took his business card and I walked into the elevator and I’ll tell you, Michael, I went from this like, yeah, standing up, good posture, chest out, breathing strong to crunched over and like man. What am I doing? Because I was talking about self-talk. Take us into the conversation in the elevator that you’re having with yourself about just what went down. It was all that stuff. It was all that stuff about failure and I’ll never make it and he’s probably right. And I should have gone to school and I should go back home and this was a stupid mistake.

Keeping Mind Stable Regardless of The Situation

You’re now listening to Hack & Grow Rich with Shaahin Cheyene and his co-host Bart Baggett. Positive momentum and negative momentum. When things happen that are crappy, they seem to happen one after another. It affects your attitude, your mindset, everything. And when good things happen, the key is always to keep your foot on the gas and get back to basics. Always grind. Put people in your corner who support encourage you. And what you did, which I love is you were taking every situation in life, you even when you had the chip going back to what you said at the beginning of this interview, when you had the chip on your shoulder, you didn’t say, what was it you said, you know what? I’m going to take what I don’t have. And I’m going to make something of that. Everything you did was in your favor. Using it in your favor to drive you to do the things that would drive your success and I think that’s a phenomenal lesson that everything is good and bad.

It was great, but coming to this country I realized it was during Iran-contra and I was no longer top of the heap. I was a second-class citizen, wow and that gave me a chip on my shoulder, gave me a lot of grit, you know, getting the crap kicked out of me every day at school built character, but I decided that, hey, you know, this is one of the greatest countries in the world from an economic standpoint. Did you read the thinking where rich was that instrumental or? I did read Think and Grow Rich and I think it was it was pretty inspirational for me, you know, I’m not sure I agree with all the concepts in it now but back then it was exactly what I needed and I started reading up on that stuff. I started reading up on the New Age Movement. The self-development movement reading, Tony Robbins, and all these great people. And I was like, man, you know there might be a chance for me. Developing Perspective For Life Through Difficult Times

I started as an adolescent in Iran at five. I was born in Iran. We moved to Los Angeles eventually as refugees. We were political refugees when we moved here and solidly poor here. In Iran, we were well to do. Here, we were poor and we managed somehow to buy a house in an up-and-coming neighborhood an Enclave of Los Angeles called Pacific Palisades, which at the time was more hippie than up-and-coming. And my folks managed to buy a house that was an absolute disaster of a house in those days. And pretty soon around us, I saw huge houses going up. I saw great wealth coming in. It was the Reaganomics era trickle-down economics wall street wealth. Hollywood was at an all-time high. All this money was coming in but I was still the poor son of a dry cleaner. The kids growing up around me their folks had Mercedes Benzes. They would go out to restaurants.

I always tell the story of a kid I met at school who was like, hey, come over. My folks are out and I came over. I was like, all right, what are we going to do? He’s like, oh, my dad gave me a credit card. We could go do whatever we want. And I said, what? He said, yeah, you can. We can go to you know, whatever the deli down the street. Mort’s deli or whatever it was called at that time. And we went down there and I was like hold on, this is nuts. You’re telling me I can order a hamburger and a pizza at the same time and that man will bring it to me and once it is brought to me, you will give him that plastic card and that’s it? He’s like, yeah yeah, get whatever you want. Get whatever you want, get some stuff for tonight too and I thought to myself this is glorious.

We always ate at home. The clothes that we had we never bought new clothes. My dad worked at a dry cleaner. We had to wait for somewhat cool-looking people to walk in and cross our fingers and pray that they didn’t pay their bills and to leave behind their clothes because those would be the clothes that would be passed down to us. So we would always be walking through school with clothes that were one or two sizes too big or one or two sizes too small. If we got lucky something might fit and that was you know kind of the way that we came up with, that we grew up but we were growing up around all this wealth.

Hone Your Natural Skills, Rent The Rest

You look at somebody one of my all-time heroes of all time. Is this guy Alan Watts? Alan Watts was a philosopher. Are you familiar with Alan Watts at all? Yeah, Alan Watts was a philosopher in the 1950s and 1960s up until I think the 70s when he passed away in I think close to 73 who was responsible for bringing the wisdom of the east Zen philosophy to the west and he did it in such a digestible way that even today, people are remixing his words, his spoken word along with electronic dance music. But Watts was one of the most self-realized people of his time because he took that opportunity to self-reflect not only on his strengths but also on his weaknesses. And similarly, I learned early on that it’s not as important to learn what you’re good at. Because like we said you can hire people that are good at the things that you are not good at. But it is important to know what things you suck at, what things you are horrible at, what things you will never be great at. Not because you put yourself down, not because you are down on yourself, but because then you have a true knowledge of yourself and you can act closer to the truth.

You can reflect on hey, man, that didn’t work out for me. It’s because I tried that thing that I’m not very good at. Now maybe I want to gain that skill set, maybe it’s valuable for me to become better at it. Maybe it sparks joy in my life to learn some new skill sets and become good at it and you can. There is that 10,000-hour rule that Malcolm Gladwell talks about and a bunch of other principles. I truly believe that if you’re a lifelong learner you can learn anything and there is something to that. But I also think that you shouldn’t learn everything. You should stay as specialized as possible in the thing that you’re great at and try to grow that.

I was 15 years old thinking I want to find wealth, fortune all the great things that America offers. Books were my friends. I read books by Napoleon Hill, books by Og Mandino, all the great old-time writers of that time. I read Tony Robbins and Wayne Dyer and all the personal development guys. This other guy is named Stuart Wilde. I read his books and I thought, man, you know what? I’m gonna leave home and I left home. I left and I was sleeping at that time in abandoned buildings or buildings that were under construction. Los Angeles was in a huge building boom at that time. So I realized that I could get into these buildings late at night when the brokers weren’t in there, wake up in the morning before they got there and I’d be out and I’d be living in luxury houses, maybe there wasn’t electricity or water in those days in some of the places because they weren’t built yet but it was a safe place to lay my head and after that, I realized that there was a big electronic music scene.

I started throwing some clubs to make a little bit of extra money. I was still sleeping wherever I could lay my head and I remember that I would sleep behind the speakers, most people don’t know this. In front of speakers, very loud, very hard to sleep. Behind speakers, super quiet and very warm. So I would sleep behind the speakers. I would wake up the club, would still be going on and I started looking around thinking how is the money being made in these places to realize only that it was by the drug dealers.

Dead Serious? Get Buried. Loosen Up For Ongoing Success

The greatest human disease, the greatest thing I think that can hold you back not only in life but particularly in business is seriousness. Seriousness is a disease. You gotta relax. You got to be able to enjoy things and not take things so seriously, not lean into things so much. Let things come to you. It’s what professor Caldini talks about in his book Persuasion. Caldini being the great professor that wrote the Canon on Influence also talks about pre-suede, talks about the greatest sales are made before the guy before the prospect ever comes to you and it’s all part of this process.

This person is incredibly formal, incredibly uptight, probably has a carrot up their ass and they’re walking with this like funny walk, like and you know, their shirts button too tight like it’s the worst thing in the world. Are You Building Your Circles Of Trust?

Sure, I talk about one in my book, where uh mysterious man shows up at my office mind you. I was in the maybe early 20s, maybe late teens. He’s got an uh a duffel bag with a million dollars in cash and an invitation to go to Japan, to Tokyo on a private plane. What do you do? I went turns out that the mob was interested in taking over my company, maybe not the best move. Maybe maybe it was an okay movie. And there were several moments of self-doubt. I mean I could have potentially been killed. So there was a lot of that.

But during my time, as a founder of a company, as a young, you know, the guy who had no education, there were lots of times like that. There was a time where uh an employee who I loved and cared for, I paid for his kids to go to school, I took care of his folks, as far as you know, making sure they were housed and their health care was taken care of. And he ended up stealing over a million dollars worth of merchandise from me at that time. And I remember it was devastating not because of the million dollars, we were making hundreds of millions in those days. But because that product ended up in the black market and on the black market that reduced the value of our product. So that million dollars reflected hundreds of millions of dollars of loss. Not only that, there was a great betrayal which is an issue when you were young and I always had this philosophy of what I called suicide margins.

And what I mean by that is that I solved every problem by making more money and it is a valid way to solve problems because if you can solve it with money it’s not a problem first and foremost. And secondly, it was easy for me in those days to make money and it was easier for me to make money than it was to solve a lot of these problems any other way and that’s what I did. I would throw money at everything because we had so much money. How much money could you possibly want? You know, the company had broken a billion dollars in revenue. I had duffel bags of cash sitting everywhere.

I had houses on the beach, I had cars, you know, I was on yachts and private planes and we did all that stuff. So if you can take that money and throw it at some problems makes things go easier. Now that comes with its series of complications. And if I could do it again I would do it differently. I would be a little bit smarter. I would seek mentorship. I would create masterminds. I would build more circles of trust around myself.

And I am a huge fan of the law. I love law um and all things related to it and when I had started my first company and we can go into the story. You know, I created a billion dollars worth of revenue in my teens, creating this legal version of an illegal drug. And I remember there was a time when lawsuits were just flying and I didn’t realize I thought you would have to wrong somebody to get a lawsuit. I was wrong because there were all these vulture lawyers. And this was at a time when the employment practices laws were coming into place. So there were all these people who I never met, who I had never had any transacting with, who were suing me. And I remember. And this kind of goes into my whole philosophy about hacking life.

I just got tired of paying the legal bills because my legal bills were insane. It was back in the 90s. And I think it was at some point like 50,000 or 100,000 a week in attorney’s fees. I had in-house counsel. I had attorneys all over the place and we got this massive lawsuit from some mega-like firm. And that was like backed by a bunch of people, and I don’t even remember what it was about. But what I remember is I told my attorney don’t worry about it, he’s like, no, we got to file a response. We gotta do this. I said don’t worry about it. I got it covered. So what are you gonna do? I was a real Loose Cannon in those days, mind you teenager long hair defiant to no end. Didn’t give an about what anybody thought about me, 0 background in law.

Converting Your Ideas Into Billion Dollar Brands

At that time, Richard, there was a drug called Ecstasy or MDMA, one of the most popular drugs. It was outlawed in the United States. It was scheduled, I believe sometime in 1983- 1985, sometime in the 80s. Ecstasy was banned. It went underground, was made illegal and what happened was that this particular drug was very difficult to synthesize. So the supply mostly came from outside the US, Europe and because of the whole Reagan say no to drugs era, you know, the Nancy Reagan say no to drugs period. They were cracking down and the supply had dried up. They had put a stop to drugs coming into the United States. The drug dealers were out of drugs and the people who wanted them couldn’t get them. So there was a huge demand but very little supply.

Noticing this, I thought to myself what if I could create a legally safe version of Ecstasy that didn’t have side effects, that was non-injurious to people, that people could use to enjoy but that wouldn’t land anybody in jail. Because thinking back to my uh lurid history in crime that wasn’t something I should take up again. So I went about the process of making it. I managed to get myself a girlfriend who managed to allow me to sneak into her house when her dad was at work and I would be cooking it up in the kitchen with her making prototypes until we got a formula that worked and it worked well. We invited people from all over the neighborhood to come over and try it. All the teenagers from the neighborhood were overtaking it and we were like wow, this stuff works.

You know I don’t have any ease left they called Ecstasy. I said that’s all right. I’m not looking. I don’t do drugs. I’m not looking to do drugs. He’s like what are you doing here? I said look, man, I got something for you to sell. What do you get? I said you know and it took me a minute and I just said I looked at him blankly face and I said herbal ecstasy. He said what? And I said, yeah herbal Ecstasy. So what’s that? And I said look, it’s all-natural, gives you a tingly high. It’s fantastic. Makes you feel euphoric. It’s just like ecstasy but the good part is you can’t go to jail and he goes off. Are you a cop? He said nope definitely not a cop get out of here and the bodyguard came and I just realized that I wasn’t moving. I should have been terrified I was you know, sweating bullets at that time but I wasn’t moving.

Yeah, I think what was a library of Alexandria? Or it was in one of those great books. I think that one of the great philosophers who wrote about Latin is saying “nothing season”. I’m probably butchering that which means know thyself and it’s one of the most profound things. You think why did they put this in all these, like amazing places? Why was this such an important saying? Because ultimately success in life in my opinion comes from self-reflection. Everything is about self-reflection. When you find people that are that when you find people that have a particular trait of being successful it’s not that they just fell into that and got lucky. It’s because they’ve reflected. When you look at people that are self-realized self-realization comes through self-reflection.

This writer named Stuart Wilde, who became a mentor of mine for some time always said don’t play your hunch. It’ll have your lunch. I’m not sure if that was his quote but it made sense. He taught us a lot of the fundamental principles of money through playing blackjack. Believe it or not, he felt that life and business were very much like a casino and if you could learn how to master that type of interaction you’d be able to handle business. So we did a lot of work inside casinos where we went to casinos and learned how to gamble and play blackjack and I have a friend, who’s still an instructor under he was understeer wild he learned how to play blackjack and poker and all those games.

3 MUST Haves For Success

Yeah, I’m an absolute failure at the majority of things. I do in life bad at 99.9 of things that I do. There’s point one percent that I’m really good, probably better than most people on the planet, but the rest of the stuff – absolute failure. The wife makes fun of me. I can’t drive a nail through a piece of wood. I’m good at hiring people and your example of engineering is a really good example of that. You can buy engineers, you can buy a guy that’s been MIT-trained that’s picked of. What do you get to pay the guy, 300 grand a year, 500 grand a year, even a million dollars a year for a rocket scientist. You find.

It’s much easier to make an extra 500 million dollars a year when you’re running a company to pay these guys than it is to do what they do and go to school in the heavy thinking, the heavy lifting. It’s what Napoleon Hill called specialized knowledge in his book Think And Grow Rich. But we talk about in my book Billion how I became king of the thrill pill called a three-step plan which feeds in nicely to this and it’s something a friend of mine, wait, boss taught us which is knowledge courage and action. When you are faced with a problem, a challenge, a project that needs to be undertaken, you need to know.

Knowledge can be bought, knowledge can be borrowed, knowledge can be stolen, knowledge can be rented. Okay, in my case I went out there, I rented it, I talked to people, I didn’t have money, but I convinced them to give me that knowledge. How do you make a pill that has the effects of ecstasy without the side effects that are legal with herbs that we have today? Great! I got that knowledge. What does knowledge do? Knowledge gives you courage. Knowledge – courage – action. Once you know how to jump out of a plane with a parachute, it’s not as scary as if you’re just jumping out and you have no idea what thing to pull or what to do that takes us to the third pillar action. You could know, you could have courage, but if you do not take action nothing happens. You have to be able to fail to succeed so with those three things anything is possible.

It happens every day on every platform and the way that you get around that is by knowing who you are. Being self-reflective. But always being one step ahead and you can learn that from great teachers, great mentors. But I oftentimes tell people to seek somebody out who is where you want to be in life and have them show you how they got to where they are and if you do that, you can always be one step of the one-step-ahead should say of the competition.

Pursuing Your Dream Relentlessly For Business Success

When the decision is made, the doing becomes effortless. What do I mean by that? What I mean by that is that once you become resigned to achieving the results that you want to achieve and you decide that you are willing, you don’t might not have to do it but that you’re willing to do whatever it takes to get it, very little can stop you. Sure, if you die, get hit by a truck or something, maybe. Outside of that, I wasn’t willing to take no for an answer and there was zero indication if you saw it in my face that I wasn’t willing able or interested in doing the impossible.

But the fact is there are 10 million sellers on there and growing. Multiple people are competing for that same little piece of cheese and if you don’t get creative the way you have using cameos, using the fame and authority of people, using all these tools that are very efficient and effective, you’re using an inexpensive tool to build authority and affect change. If you don’t know how to do those things and you to your credit have done that instinctually. Life is about luck but it’s not what you think. Luck can be created and it’s about being in the flow. Art of Smiling For A Guaranteed Customer Service Experience

But if you go to a restaurant and you’re not happy, ask for the manager. You will be amazed at how far they will go out of their way to help you out. Smile. Always smile. Don’t be aggressive. People are uncomfortable with tension. So it’s not going to be to your advantage in these situations to create tension most of the time. So don’t have tension. Just smile. Maybe start with a compliment. You know what, I know that the waiter is working their butt off tonight, I can see how busy you guys are and I just got to tell you those bread rolls that you brought us were spectacular, but we’ve been waiting 45 minutes for our food and I just wanted to know if there’s anything you might be able to do for us.

What’s Your Belief Structure And Reality Distortion Field?

Resilience. People are going to try to knock you down. People will put you down but it’s how many times you get up when that failure happens and also there is an element to it of not giving an about what people think of you. You cannot care what other people think. Other people’s opinions only matter if they coincide with your belief structure and your reality distortion field.

Make Synchronicity Your Lifestyle (Law Of Attraction)

When you are in a flow state like Stephen Cutler talks about in his book The Art of the Impossible or The Rise of Superman. If you can get yourself into this optimal performance state, into this optimal state where you are in the flow, opportunities start coming to you. You find yourself becoming more in sync with things that are going on around you and that’s called synchronicity. You want something and the person who can provide that thing to you appears sitting next to you on a park bench or he’s the guy at a restaurant that you don’t drop something and you pick it up and you’re there. It’s the way the world works. I don’t know why it works that way. Some people say oh the art of it the law of attraction, the art of manifestation all that is. I’ll tell you what it is. It’s hard work. No substitute for it. No hack for hard work.

Finding Black Belt Mentors To Coach You To Success

Do not work in a vacuum. What I mean by that is that there are people out there in the world, who have done what you want to do and you can find these people and incentivize them to work with you. Incentivize them to help you, to coach you, to train you, to get what they want. I think your podcast is about fitness yeah? So if you want to become fit, very interesting. So I train Brazilian jiu-jitsu. I’m a student beginner um but I’ve been training for some years now and my philosophy with martial arts and I’ve done martial arts for a lot of years is if you want to learn, you find somebody who’s at a much higher level and is where you want to be and once you learn how that person got where they are, ask them to mentor you. Ask them to coach you and get at that level with them. Train at their level.
